Boyfriend (yep, that's right, I'm indecisive so he's still "Boyfriend") wants to be the Mad Hatter, so a couples costume is out. I never liked that Mad Hatter very much.

Thank you for the kind wishes, everybody! I'm very excited and happy. Now, a project: we need to come up with a new name for Boyfriend. I never liked the word "fiance" all that much (although I like it a lot more this week!) and I also don't want to have to keep changing his name in El Blog. So what do you think? I'm taking nominations. There might be a prize involved.

Here is the star of Mouse's weekend dinner party. I adapted the galette recipe here by using smaller pieces of dough to make individual, appetizer-sized pastries. It's delicious: rich onion layered with smoky prosciutto, creamy goat cheese, fresh chives and tart, tender asparagus. I added one long, decorative asparagus spear on top for style. The crust is excellent, too!
