After booking my hot air balloon ride, the excitement grew and grew as the day or my flight came closer. On the morning of my ride, the sky was blue and there was not a lot of wind. We had to get up pretty early in the morning but it was well worth it. We met up at about 6am and drove a few miles to the launch site. After we had got the balloon inflated, we were ready to set off and we were up in the air before 7am.
The flight really was an amazing experience as we floated effortlessly over towns and villages that I didn’t know existed. It was so peaceful being up in the sky a long way from the hustle and bustle of everyday life below us on the ground. We landed safely in a field and packed away the balloon before enjoying a glass of champagne. It was a great experience and definitely one that I’d love to do again soon.
